As Orlando's closest and spacious beaches, Florida's Space Coast is less than an hour drive east from Walt Disney World and other theme park attractions. However what sets our area apart, is the fact that its the only place in the world one can view a live space launch! Therefore, we're excited about the 40th Anniversary of the Apollo 13 mission!

On Friday, April 9, 2010 through Saturday, April 10, 2010, Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex will commemorate the historic mission with a celebration including a special schedule of activities with the Apollo 13 astronauts. Events include a special breakfast, an astronaut encounter and special book signing.

Kennedy Space Center has been good to Florida's Space Coast, so we want to return the favor by offering special hotel rates and packages from participating local hotels to coincide with the special events marking the 40th Anniversary of Apollo 13.
